Premium Oolong Teas

Oolong teas straddle the gap between green teas and black teas. The tea maker will carefully limit the oxidation of the plucked leaves, in a process that is part science and part art. Depending on the degree of oxidation, an oolong can taste like a green tea with more delicate  aromas, or like a black tea with more pronounced notes. Oolong teas are usually finished by rolling the leaves, which helps to release fragrance and leads to their signature twisted appearance. Some teas undergo an additional roasting  to further develop the taste and color of the tea.
